Honoring Our Heritage, Building Our Future

By April 11, 2014December 14th, 2020Faith & Learning

Just picture it… Six hundred individual padded seats for chapels, concerts, plays, musicals, and meetings.  A flat floor to accommodate dinners, musicals, concerts, project displays, art shows, and anything we can think of. A high end audio and lighting system for any size performance. Retractable seating that enables us to change the size of the space available on the floor. Designated space for set design and construction and costume changes for plays, musicals, and concerts. All non-athletic events and computer labs out of the gym. A remodeled library/media center in the current library space.

All this and more will happen if the proposed chapel/auditorium is built.  After dreaming, working and planning for many years about this project, it is now nearly a reality.  Enthusiastic and loyal supporters of Calvin Christian School have stepped up to the plate and want to partner with the whole Calvin community to make this happen.

Over the last year we have received 1.25 million, in pledges, out of the 4.7 million needed for the project. Recently, we had anonymous donors make an offer to us that we just can’t refuse! If the school can raise a total of 2 million dollars, which is only an additional $750,000 more, these anonymous donors will fund the balance and promise no debt to the school!  Our challenge is to raise the $750,000, in cash or pledges, by the end of June 2014.

This is an amazing opportunity to build a facility that will serve the Calvin community for many years to come.  So, this is a challenge to all alumni, supporters, parents, and friends of Calvin to help us make this dream become a reality. You will be receiving information soon asking you to consider a gift to this project. You may even choose to make a pledge payable no later than January of 2016.  Please prayerfully consider how you can participate and make this happen.
