I’ve been blessed to attend and enjoy over 40 Christmas programs at Christian schools over the years. Ten of them have been at Calvin Christian and they have been special and wonderful.
Here are just some of the reasons why our programs are so special:
- The children and young people sing their hearts out and play their instruments to the praise and glory of the Lord
- The themes of the program are Christ-centered
- The music teachers, pianists, and teachers have practiced with the students so that the music and singing is excellent
- The smiles and joy on the faces of students is a blessing to see
- There is a fantastic sense of community with parents, grandparents, teachers, board members, and friends of the school all are there to enjoy the program and praise the Lord.
- I get to see my grandchildren all dressed up and singing joyfully to the Lord
- We get to sing a Christmas song with a 1,000 people
- The Hallelujah Chorus is sung at the end of the program and I get to see my wife, daughter, and granddaughter sing it with a mass choir
- The programs are opened and closed in prayer
Come, join us at our Christmas program on December 16 and praise the Lord and be thankful with all of us.
