HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER
We are looking for a creative, talented, and experienced teacher who knows his/her call by their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to serve as a full-time Christian educator, passionate about teaching students about God’s revelation in creation, i.e. science. The successful teacher candidate for this position is committed to robust, whole-person, liberal arts education, and able to articulate a solid understanding of a Gospel-centered (reformed) educational classroom, stemming from clear evidence of a maturing Christian faith.
In line with our mission, and of course Scripture (rf. Psalm 19, Romans 1), we are looking for a teacher who sees the science (and math) classroom as God’s mission-field, to challenge, shepherd and love students the ways of Christ’s love.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Experience working with youth, specifically in a teaching setting
- As a Christian School, we require our employees to be a professing believer and follower of Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior.
- Per Calvin’s mission (and constitution), teachers are expected to be members in good standing at a confessionally reformed church ( e.g. URC, CRC, PCA, RCA, OPC) and in-line with Calvin Christian School’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith and school biblical ethics policies.
